The Finance Minister has emphasised the ‘importance’ of the renters’ tax credit as he works on finalising the Budget.

Housing Minister James Browne said a lot of tough decisions will be made as part of Budget 2026.

Minister of State at the Department of Housing, Alan Dillon TD, said that it should be done as a means to continue to support renters and parents of student renters
