Tánaiste Simon Harris received a barrage of emails after a viral incident where he was confronted by a carer in Kanturk during the election campaign

Simon Harris has denied any Fine Gael staff contacted the broadcaster to remove the clip of a much-criticised encounter with Charlotte Fallon.

‘I hope people like to see humility in politics,’ the Fine Gael leader said

‘I called Charlotte this morning because she was absolutely owed an apology from me,’ he said

The woman told the Taoiseach that carers felt ignored and that the Government had done ‘nothing’ for them.
