On August 11th last, up to 40,000 fish died in the River Blackwater and the River Clyda in the Mallow area.

A key finding from the Marine Institute was that no evidence of bacterial infection or systemic disease was noted in test samples

No other species appear to be impacted by the reported fish kill.
