The Government will ‘engage constructively’ with the Social Democrats over its proposed reforms of abortion legislation, the Taoiseach has said.

There is ‘significant’ legal uncertainty on what effect the ruling will have in Northern Ireland, the Equality Commission has said.

David Cullinane had said the Supreme Court ruling on the definition of ‘woman’ in equality law was a ‘common sense judgement’.
