The seizure was made as part of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Terenure Divisional Drugs Unit

Eva OsborneGardaí have charged two men who were arrested as part of ongoing investigations into organised criminal activity in the South Dublin and Eastern Regions.

Among the complaints is that An Bord Pleanála allegedly failed to address claims that the development would exacerbate sewage overflows at the Salthill wastewater pumping station.

Over €78,000 in cash was also seized during a follow-up search

The two men, aged in their late teens and early 20s, are due to appear before a sitting of Dun Laoghaire District Court

A number of items were taken, including phones.

In a detailed judgement handed down on Wednesday Mr Justice David Holland said that the board's decision to grant planning permission, in July 2021, to Ironborn Real Estate Limited to develop the site should be quashed.
