The clean-up operation is continuing in Dublin city this morning after yesterday's national St Patrick's Day parade

The parade was led out of the grounds of City Hall by Lord Mayor Micky Murray.

The 4km parade began at Parnell Square North and will finish at Kevin Street Lower

Monday's St Patrick's Day parade through Dublin city centre is expected to draw large crowds into the capital.

The theme of this year’s Festival and Parade is ‘Spréach’, Irish for Spark
