Flights from Ireland to US east coast could face delays due to heavy snow

Flights from Dublin Airport to the east coast of the US are facing delays due to heavy snowstorms.
It is mainly affecting services into New York and Washington DC.
A spokesperson for Dublin Airport said some flights are delayed by a few hours.
There are no cancellations so far today, and passengers are advised to travel as normal - but they should stay in contact with their airline for updates.
New York and New Jersey were put under states of emergency due to the extreme weather.
The New York City area was expected to see between two and five inches of snow, according to the US National Weather Service.
It has had a major impact on the city's three main airports, as well as Philadelphia International Airport.
