The recent Teagasc Grass10 farm walk took place in Ballyduff, Co Waterford, on the farm of Michael Ahern, overall winner of the Sustainable Grassland Farmer of the Year.
He was accompanied by Richard O'Brien, Teagasc Regional Manager Kilkenny/Waterford, Eamonn Lynch, Teagasc Adviser, Aidan Brennan, Irish Farmers Journal, John O'Loughlin, Grassland Agro, host Michael Ahern, Chris Nolan, AIB, John Maher, Teagasc Grass10 Manager and Mary-Ellen Phelan, Teagasc Grass10.
The Sustainable Grassland Farmer of the Year awards are part of the Teagasc Grass10 Campaign, which is supported by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Teagasc, AIB, FBD, Grassland Agro and the Irish Farmers Journal.
