Drama Classes

Our drama classes are now full and we cannot take any more registrations. We have a waiting list in place but there is no guarantee of a space. If a child drops out then a space will become available. We cannot accept anyone who did not register at the registration night as we are at maximum capacity for everyone to be able to enjoy the classes safely. Thanks to all those who registered and we look forward to seeing you all. A class WhatsApp group will be created in the coming days.

Camogie

Our talented U8 players of the week for September. You all showed great effort and determination, and kept up the great work. Congratulations Lucy Fahy, Áine Phelan and Ellie Grace. Little superstars of the future. Our fabulous U10 players of the week for September. Well done girls, keep up the great work and congratulations Jennifer Duggan, Elsie O'Regan, Rachel Rochford and Abbie Gleeson Keane. Little superstars of the future, well done to our U12's on a great competitive challenge match against our neighbours St Molleran's. Well done to both teams tonight, a very enjoyable game. A great win for the girls. Thanks to St Molleran's for travelling out. Our U13 team played at home recently against De La Salle. Well done to both teams, a great display of skills and some excellent scores. Congratulations to our girls and mentors on a good win. A special mention to our little mascot Millie who is always there cheering us on.

Portlaw Utd

U16 SFAI: De La Salle 4 - Portlaw 2. The draw was not kind to us with a tough away fixture against DLS. Both sides cancelled each other out in the first half with chances limited. Nil all at the break. We started the second half well and our hard work was rewarded with Kev finishing well. We then gifted the home side a couple of goals and they scored another well taken goal to lead 3 - 1. We were shell shocked but gathered our composure and pulled one back, Kev with the finish again. Instead of kicking on again we gifted them one last goal and that completed the scoring. The scoreline didn't do us justice and each and every player left everything on the pitch and that is all we can ever ask of them. Well done guys and best of luck to DLS in the next round.

Our U12’s were out recently for their fifth league match of the season against the visiting Park Rangers. Portlaw got off to the best start possible with Sean Maher scoring from close range from a Darragh O’Connor cross in the first minute. Darragh O’Connor doubled the lead in the ninth minute from a Lily Kinsella assist. Brian Grant kept out the visitors with some brave goalkeeping smothering out any chances. The second half saw Portlaw extending their lead from the spot through Darragh O’Connor after he was fouled inside the box. Darragh O’Connor then completed his hat trick in the 39th minute finishing a mazy run. Taylor Flannery got the fifth for Portlaw following a rebound from a corner. Park Rangers managed a consolation goal from a close range set piece to make it 5 -1. This result continues the great start to the league but still plenty of room for improvement for this young team. Well done to the whole team today. We would again like to thank everyone who signed up for the club.
