Kill Lotto

There was no winner for this week’s lotto so it rolls over until next week with a jackpot of €2,300. The numbers pulled were 6, 15, 20 and 22. Caroline Cowman and Emily Nolan were the lucky dip winners, Congrats!

Community Text Alert

The Community Text Alert Service is still ongoing and open to any member of the public to join. Some messages that the group send out include notifications from the Gardaí, Met Eireann and others which help to keep the community informed. If you would like to join the text service, please contact Kill Action Group on 086 3772945.

Senior Alert Scheme

Kill Action Group is a registered provider for the Senior Alert Scheme which provides a personal monitored alarm for those aged 65 and over, living alone or with another person who meets the eligibility criteria and residing within the area. The alarm can be worn as a pendant or on the wrist like a watch and when pressed a call is sent to a 24-hour monitoring centre. 

The equipment is free however there is a fee for monitoring the alarm. Either a landline, mobile phone or broadband connection is required to install and connect the equipment. To enquire/avail of the scheme please contact Marie Whelan on 087 2871307.

Gealach Gorm Theatre

We are delighted to welcome back The Very Men in Concert at Gealach Gorm Theatre on Sunday, August 25, at 8pm. The highly accomplished and acclaimed musicians Brian Donovan, John Nugent, Brendan Clancy and Mick McAuley will return for another fantastic night of music.

All proceeds go to funding the cost of 2024 Mental Health and Drug Awareness Conversation Seminars at Kill Community Centre.

Kill Community Centre

Last week, Checkers entertained a fantastic crowd at Wednesday night dancing. This week, locals Teddy and Cathal Barry will perform on Wednesday, July 24, when they take to the stage at Kill. So mark Wednesday night dancing 9pm to 11.30pm in your calendar. There will be complementary tea, coffee and sweet treat so come and join in the fun.

Last week, Pat Mulchrone entertained a lively crowd at Kill Community Centre and everyone enjoyed the great atmosphere. Next to take to the stage will be Michael Collins, on July 28. Social dancing begins at 3pm and finishes at 6pm. Kill Community Centre guarantees a great afternoon of great music and refreshments. So why not put on your dancing shoes and join in the fun.

The Confidential Support Line organised by Kill Community Support Group, with support from Kill Community Centre, is accessible through 087 7150608.

The mission of the Kill Community Support Group is to ensure that every member of our community has access to support if they are overwhelmed by any situation, they may find themselves in. The telephone support line is a confidential service open to anyone in the local area.
