Sympathies

The death occurred of Tomás Walsh, Carriglea, Cheekpoint, on July 21, in France after a tragic accident. His funeral took place on Saturday last in Faithlegg. Next week we will have full obituary.

Mass Times

Mass times in Crooke and Faithlegg Churches this week are: Wednesday, August 13 - Faithlegg 11.30am; Thursday, August 14 - Crooke 10am; Friday, August 15 - Feast of Assumption in Crooke 7.30pm; Saturday, August 16 - Faithlegg 6.30pm (Vigil Mass); Sunday, Augusat 17 - Crooke 11.30am

Final Reminder

The Minaun Community Theatre Group is inviting anyone who has written or is just thinking about writing, a 10 to 15 minute play, for consideration as their next performance; a play written by you!. The deadline is August 20.

Passage Hurling

Passage met Dungarvan in the Senior Hurling Championship in Walsh Park last Sunday and had a terrific second half to emerge victorious by three points, scoring three goals and winning on a scoreline of Passage 3-16 to Dungarvan 1-19. Passage were behind at the interval by 1-10 to 1-5 and really upped their game with goalkeeper Eddie Lynch saving a rasper in the last minute. Games coming up are as follows: Wednesday, August 13 - Minor Passage v Rodaithe Na Brica in Passage at 7.30pm; Underage games played last week U14 Division 2 Passage beat An Ghaeltacht away last week, U11 Blitz played in Walsh Park and Passage won all three games and U16 Division 3 beat St Pats in Passage. Under Age games coming up are as follows: Monday, August 18 - U14 Division 2 Passage v Clan Na Gael in Passage at 7pm and another fixture on Thursday, September 4 v Erins Own/Sacred Heart in Poleberry. Please note Passage Summer Camp runs this year from Monday, August 11 to Friday, August 15, for 5 to 13-year-olds from 10am to 2pm each day.
