Lotto

There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot of €4,500. The  numbers pulled were 3, 7, 10 and 12. Congratulations to Michelle Power who matched 3 numbers. Best of luck to all the players.

Community Text Alert

The Community Text Alert Service is still ongoing and open to any member of the public to join. Some messages that the group send out include notifications from the Gardaí, Met Eireann and others which help to keep the community informed. If you want to join the text service, please contact Kill Action Group on 086 3772945.

Senior Alert Scheme

Kill Action Group is a registered provider for the Senior Alert Scheme which provides a personal monitored alarm for those aged 65 and over, living alone or with another person who meets the eligibility criteria and residing within the area. The equipment is free however there is a fee for monitoring the alarm. Either a landline, mobile phone or broadband connection is required to install and connect the alarm. Gealach Gorm Theatre

Tickets are selling like the proverbial hot buns for Hubcap Theatre’s performance of 'Mary's Hopes and Dreams', on Saturday, June 14. After performing 'The Parish' in over 70 venues nationwide, the boys make a welcome return. A delightful comedy about life in a rural community, the story unfolds with a cast of colourful characters including cattle dealers, greyhound trainers, 80's pop stars and the much-loved 'two Mary's'. Using Hubcap’s unique brand of visual comedy and characterisation, the audience will delight in madcap scenes of slapstick, rap, mime, song, dance, martial arts and swimming. Social Dancing

Last week, Checkers entertained everyone at dancing on Wednesday night and the crowd really enjoyed the evening. Next up is Pat Costello on Wednesday, May 28. A firm favourite with all our dancers. So, mark Wednesday night dancing 9pm to 11.30pm in your calendar. Complementary tea/coffee and sweet treat so come and join in the fun.  Last Sunday, Jimmy Hogan and Lar Kenny kept the dancefloor hopping with a great afternoon full of great tunes. Next on the line-up is Philip English, on Sunday, June 1, who will no doubt entertain and draw a crowd. Sunday afternoon’s social dancing begins at 3pm and finishes at 6pm.
