The numbers drawn in the latest lotto draw were 4, 9, 20 and 22 and there was no winner of the jackpot. The three lucky dip winners of €50 each were Jane Fortune, Eamon Power and Myra Larkin. The next draw will take place on Sunday February 2, and there will be a jackpot of €12,500 on offer. Tickets cost just €2 each or three for €5 and can be purchased from all committee members, online, and from volunteer sellers at Centra on Saturday, February 1. This draw is a major fundraiser for the club and they appreciate the support they receive from the community and beyond.
On Tuesday, January 21 the pupils of Ballyduff NS hosted a lovely mass to honour their grandparents. Fr. Francis celebrated a beautiful mass and spoke about what a wonderful role grandparents play in children’s lives. He encouraged children to spend time listening to their grandparent’s stories and experiences and to learn from their faith and sense of values. During the mass teachers and pupils sang hymns and read the readings and prayers of the faithful. Following the mass everyone was invited to the school hall for a cuppa and some lovely refreshments. It was a wonderful opportunity for the pupil’s family to see their classrooms and some of their fantastic artwork. This really was a lovely occasion and a big well done for organising such a lovely event.

Congratulations to the ladies who secured their first win of the season beating a very physical Abbeyside team 7-0. A big well done to the U10 girls who hosted a fantastic blitz, welcoming teams from Kilmacow, Ballinroad and Tramore. All teams treated the spectators to some great football and skills and a great time was had by all.
