Community Alert

Our local community alert group will hold their last meeting of the season on Wednesday, April 9, at 8pm. The group take a break from meetings during the Summer season but still remain active and report any necessary information through their community text alert scheme. It is important to support your local group and so it would be lovely to see as many people as possible at the meeting.

Special Visitor

It was wonderful to see Fr. Mick O Byrne attend mass in Ballyduff Church on St. Patrick’s Day. Fr. Mick served in the parish of Ballyduff/ Portlaw for over 30 years but in recent times he has been a resident in the Care Choice Home, in Dungarvan, following a stroke. He receives excellent care there from the wonderful staff but misses the chats and laughs with everyone. His hearing and eyesight have left him down but he still likes to receive a text to hear about what is going on. He welcomes visitors to the home but would like a text to let him know you are coming. Fr. Mick stayed and chatted after mass for a while and was thrilled to meet so many people. We all wish him well and look forward to another visit soon.

We all have the opportunity to help our local team by collecting the stamps in Lidl when we are doing our shopping. Each time we spend €50 we receive a stamp and when four stamps are collected your card can be submitted. The club you have selected needs to collect at least 50 stamps to be in with the chance of winning. Please select Ballyduff Lower LGFA and help the team to have a chance of winning.
