The Passage East Singing group will reconvene on Thursday, October 3, following the summer break. The group meets every week in the Community Centre, Passage East from 8pm. We look forward to meeting up with our regulars and prospective new members. All are welcome.
Great news for the club this week was that from Community Sports Development Grant the club has received €54,789 towards the cost of gym equipment, jogging/walk track and security fence.
Presently the main grounds drainage job has been completed but it is out of bounds for a month or so for all activities, thanks to Garry Flood landscapes ltd and David Howell of Waterford landscapes for all their hard work. The Juvenile Pitch and Gym are free however. The same Senior Hurling Management team is again in place for next year.
A reminder of the Club's Quiz Night in The Saratoga on October 19th and Annual €550/50. Split the Pot Envelopes for sale - Ben Power's shop Cheekpoint, The Estuary Café, Passage East, Saratoga Bar, Woodstown, Willow Hair Boutique, the Glen, Waterford, and Furlong's New Geneva, Passage East.
All proceeds go towards the ever expanding juveniles section of the club who've been super representing the club all year competing and travelling all over the county and country.
Well! Kids are finishing up next Wednesday, for a short break. The Group leaders are looking at training continuing in the Ball Alley or possibly in the Hall in Passage like they did last year - no details confirmed yet. The Monthly Draw was held in Furlong's on Thursday and results are as follows: 1st €200 Amy Walsh, Crooke, 2nd €150 Michael Power, Dunmore East, 3rd €100 Ann Marie Fitzgerald, Crooke, 4th €50 Kieran Lynch, Knockroe.
Good news also this week for Park Rangers FC Faithlegg from the Community Sports Facility Grants. The Club received €107,949 towards the expansion of training facilities/capacity.
At the Primary Schools Schools Cross Country 2024 held in the RSC on Tuesday, September 17, Faithlegg National School had a huge number competing. The school got second place in the Small Schools category. Individually they came away with 19 medals on the day with the first 12 in each class boys and girls getting medals. Well done to all the girls and boys who competed.
