New Mural

The latest mural unveiled in Portlaw is located on Bridge Street, with kind permission from Abbey Rubber Mouldings. The artist designed a mural with symbols representing the buildings of Portlaw's rich industrial heritage along with representations of the growth of the community, through the booming industry of the area, its workers and strong bond of the people present that built this area, and its community. The design has water running up either side of the mill celebrating the innovative design of the Cotton Mill. It also has money dotted around the design acknowledging the unique currency, ' leather money' used in Portlaw during the Malcomson period.
