Dunmore East
Mas times in Killea this week will be comprised of: Wednesday, February 12 - 7.30pm; Friday, February 14 - 9.30am; Sunday, February 16 - 9.30am. Masses in Carbally are every Sunday at 11am.
Currently a small group of villagers are in the early stages of creating a Dunmore East Men's Shed. We meet each Thursday morning at 11am in Fishermen's Hall (go to the rear of the Hall and go up the steps beside Harper's Point Coffee Stand). If the idea interests you, please come along to one of our meetings, participation is free.
Coming up on Saturday, February 22, at the Majestic Hotel, Tramore, is the annual Carbally Gala Dance with pre-drinks at 6pm and main meal at 7pm. Music will be by Seattle, followed by disco. Any committee member can supply tickets at €50. For anyone considering staying overnight in the Majestic the prices, including breakfast the following morning, are: Single Room €100; Double Room €130; Twin Bed €130; Triple €150.
Next week we hope to have the final amount of money raised in the Annual Christmas Day Swim in Dunmore East, and presentations will then be made to the two groups involved this year.
The above club is presenting a Sports Quiz on Saturday, March 1, in Power's Bar, Dunmore. The entry fee will be €10 euro per person or €40 per table of 4. To enter please call Joe on 086 3075056.
In the Senior football groups this year Gaultier are in Group A with Rathgormack, An Rinn and Kilrossanty.
