Gealach Gorm Theatre

Join us for Son of the King, on Saturday, October 18, a powerful new one-man comedy play written and performed by acclaimed Irish actor Dean Sullivan. The show introduces us to John McCarthy, a music shop owner in his forties whose quiet life is turned upside down when he receives news that his estranged Uncle Jerry is back home. As John prepares to see him, memories flood back of a charismatic young musician who always insisted he was the illegitimate son of Elvis Presley. A musician, comedian and larger than life character. After thirty years, Jerry is now terminally ill. John visits him in the hospital, where his Uncle serenades him with stories of his life and makes a dying request for John to take him to Graceland one more time.
