Kill Action Group is a registered provider for the Senior Alert Scheme which provides a personal monitored alarm for those aged 65 and over, living alone or with another person who meets the eligibility criteria and residing within the area. The alarm can be worn as a pendant or on the wrist like a watch and when pressed a call is sent to a 24-hour monitoring centre. The equipment is free, however there is a fee for monitoring the alarm. Either a landline, mobile phone or broadband connection is required to install and connect the alarm. To enquire/avail of this scheme please contact Marie Whelan on 087 2871307.

Social Dancing

Last week, Alastair Fingleton entertained a fantastic crowd at Wednesday night dancing in Kill Community Centre. This week Dermot Lyons will take to the stage on October 9 so mark the date in your diary, with dancing from 9am to 11.30am. Complementary tea/coffee and sweet treat so come and join in the fun.

Last week, Checkers entertained all in attendance at the centre and everyone enjoyed the great atmosphere and danced away the afternoon. Next to take to the stage is Peter Burke, on October 13, and social dancing begins at 3pm and finishes at 6pm. Kill Community Centre guarantees a great afternoon of great music and refreshments.
