Tom Power's new poetry book will be launched in Kill

There was no winner for this week’s lotto so it rolls over until next week with a jackpot of €2,800. The lucky numbers pulled were 1, 7, 11 and 21. Congrats to Sean Phelan who matched 3 numbers.

Community Text Alert

The Community Text Alert Service is still ongoing and open to any member of the public to join. Some messages that the group send out include notifications from the Gardaí, Met Eireann and others which help to keep the community informed. Book Launch

Tom Power's latest book, 'A Rambling Man's Life On The Road' will be launched by poet and author, Stan Phillips at Dunphy's Bar, Kill, on Friday, October 4, at 8pm, followed by music, poetry and song, everyone welcome.

Kill Community Centre

Social Dancing: Last week, Michael Sexton entertained a fantastic crowd at Wednesday night dancing. This week Alastair Fingleton (Oct 2) will take to the stage at Kill. Mark Wednesday night dancing 9-11.30pm in your calendar! Complementary tea/ coffee and sweet treat so come and join in the fun.

Last week, Michael Collins entertained all in attendance at Kill Community Centre. Everyone enjoyed the great atmosphere and danced away the afternoon. Next to take to the stage are Checkers (Oct 6). Social dancing begins at 3pm and finishes at 6pm. Kill Community Centre guarantees a great afternoon of great music and refreshments. So why not put on your dancing shoes and join in the fun!

Traditional Irish Fiddle lessons delivered by TTCT qualified teacher Marie Sheedy starting in mid-October. Classes on Wednesday evenings will be offered in Kill Community Hall, with group and individual class options available. Suitable for complete beginners, intermediate and advanced players. Beginners guitar lessons have recommenced in Kill Community Centre every Wednesday. These lessons begin from 6:30pm and small number of places are available. To book call or text Michael Murphy on 087 9050190.

Michelle from Imagine Fitness has updated her timetable. Classes included ‘rebound classes’, H.I.I.T sessions and body sculpting. More information and class times can be found on her Facebook page Imagine Fitness. These classes are for all fitness levels and newcomers are very welcome.
