Local Notes: Ladies football success, RNLI gift shop, Mass times and a bluegrass festival

The Dunmore East International Bluegrass Festival will take place in August

Mass Times

Mass times in Killea Church this week are comprised of: Wednesday, July 3 -  7.30 pm; Friday, July 5 - 9.30am; Sunday, July 7 - 9.30am.

Please contact the Parish Office to request certificates or to make arrangements for Baptisms and weddings. Baptisms are celebrated as follows: Killea - the first Sunday of the month at 1pm; Faithlegg - the second Saturday of the month at 5.30pm; Crooke - the third Sunday of the month at 12.30pm. Mass in Carbally Church is celebrated at 11am every Sunday.

RNLI Gift Shop

The Dunmore East RNLI Gift Shop opening hours are Monday to Saturday, from 11am to 5pm, and Sunday from 12.30pm to 5pm. All are welcome to browse the shop and support a very worthy organisation.

Gaultier ICA

Gaultier ICA would like to thank everyone who supported their charity sale which was held on the June Bank Holiday and which raised €700 for the Dunmore East First Responder.

Anyone interested in crafts are welcome to come along to the GAA clubhouse on Wednesday nights at 7.30pm. For more information contact 086 2104596.

Bluegrass Festival

The annual Bluegrass Festival in Dunmore will take place this year from August 24 to 26. There will be lots of bands and entertainment in the village and it's an event that's always looked forward to.

Cruise Liners

The next cruise liner due in Dunmore East will be the Seven Seas Mariner, which is due to arrive on Tuesday, July 2, from 7am to 4 pm with 708 passengers on board. On Wednesday, July 10, the Nautica, with 684 passengers, is due to arrive and will stay moored off the coast from 7 am to 7 pm. All local residents and businesses please note.

Art Camp

The annual Art Craft in Fisherman's Hall, Dunmore East, will take place from Monday, July 1 to July 5 and from Monday, July 29 to August 2.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Annie Fitzgerald, Clodagh Carroll, Molly Comerford and Emma Fitzgerald from the Gautier Ladies Club who were on the Waterford Ladies Football team that beat Donegal in Walsh Park on Sunday week by 1-10 to 7 points. They now meet Cork next Saturday at 1.15pm in Supervalu/Pairc Ui Chaoimh in the All Ireland quarter-final.
