Kill Action Group is a registered provider for the Senior Alert Scheme which provides a personal monitored alarm for those aged 65 and over, living alone or with another person who meets the eligibility criteria and residing within the area. The alarm can be worn as a pendant or on the wrist like a watch and when pressed a call is sent to a 24-hour monitoring centre. Kill Action Group together with key stakeholders including Kill GAA club, Kill Community Centre, Kill NS parents association and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and others would like to express their thanks to all those who participated in our village survey. The results of the survey once collated will inform the Kill Village Plan 2025 which will be used to support funding applications for the development of community, social, economic, cultural and environmental facilities and activities in Kill into the future. Unfortunately, Wednesday night dancing was cancelled this week due to bad weather. This week, starting at the earlier time of 8pm and finishing at 10.30pm, Jimmy Hogan and Lar Kenny will bring their exciting show and entertain all on Wednesday, January 15. So, mark Wednesday night dancing 8pm to 10.30pm jn your calendar. Complementary tea/coffee and sweet treat so come and join in the fun. Last Sunday, Declan Aungier delighted a wonderful crowd at Kill, the dancefloor was busy all afternoon. Next on the line-up is Andy Feery, on Sunday, January 19, who will no doubt entertain and draw a crowd. Sunday afternoon’s social dancing begins at 3pm and finishes at 6pm. Kill Community Centre guarantees a great afternoon of good music and refreshments. So why not put on your dancing shoes and join in the fun.

This year is the 20th anniversary of The Gealach Gorm Theatre, at Kill Community Centre. Lots of great shows planned for the year. What better way to start off our 20th anniversary celebrations than with John Foley's screening of his highly acclaimed documentary, 'The Aftermath', on Saturday, January 18, at 8pm. This documentary deals with the effects of the civil war in Waterford told through the eyes of descendants of those involved and local historians. The highly accomplished and acclaimed musicians, Brian Donovan, John Nugent and Brendan Clancy will return for another fantastic night of music. unmahon Bunmahon Community Society Lotto There was no winner of the Bunmahon Community Society Lotto jackpot this week so the jackpot will continue to roll over to next week. The lucky numbers drawn were 6, 13, 20, and 26. Congratulations Ann Concannon who matched 3 numbers.
