Mass times in Crooke and Faithlegg Churches this week are: Wednesday, July 30 - Faithlegg 11.30am; Thursday, July 31 - Crooke 10am; Saturday, August 2 - Faithlegg 6.30pm (Vigil Mass); Sunday, August 3 - Crooke 11.30am.
Lios na nÓg will close on Friday, August 1, at 5.30pm for Summer break. We will reopen on Thursday, August 28, 8am and we are looking forward to meeting all the new children coming to us and welcoming back all children already with us.
Passage senior hurlers got back to winning ways in Carrickbeg last week with a one point win over Fourmilewater, who were reduced to 14 men in the early stages of the second half. With three minutes remaining Passage trailed by four points but Mark Fitzgerald, who was tops in the full forward position, and with a late goal in injury time plus a point by Kevin Cullinane did the job. Besides Mark who ended up on 1-4 there were fine displays by Jason Roche at centre back as there were in the fullback line and and up front Mikey Cummins contributed five points and Tom Carey with 10 points from frees was very accurate. Kevin Cullinane also did well. On Saturday last, prior to publication, they met Lismore in Walsh Park, hopefully the winning run continues. The Junior A team lost out by just one point to Clonea in Kill and were beaten by My Sion in Tramore on Thursday last and the minors had a good win over Mt Sion away. The minors also beat St Oliver away - also in a high scoring game. Games coming up are as follows: Senior v Dungarvan in Walsh Park on Sunday, August 3, at 2 pm; Senior on Sunday, August 10, Passage v Ferrybank in Walsh Park at 2pm; Minor Clonea v Passage on Wednesday, August 6, in Clonea at 7.30pm. Underage results: last week Passage U14's beat Mount Sion by a wide margin. The next game v An Gaeltacht is in An Rinn on Monday, August 4 at 7pm. Please note Passage Summer Camp runs this year from August 11 to 15 for 5 to 13-year-olds, from 10am to 2pm each day. Prices are one child (€50, two children (€90), three children (€120) and four children (€150). Regsiter on ClubZap.
