Mass times for the coming week in Crooke and Faithlegg Churches will be celebrated on Thursday, August 8 - Crooke at 10am; Saturday, August 10 - Faithlegg at 6.30pm; Sunday Vigil, Auguat 11 - Crooke at 11.30am. Please note Faithlegg Church is still not available on weekdays or Sundays, only for Vigil mass on Saturday.
Quite a few are here on holidays in the village, Crooke and surrounding areas at the moment. Some regulars and others not so regular, but all very welcome.
In the past week or ten days lots of our teams played and had very good results. The Junior A team beat Fenor in Walsh Park by six points, the minors drew with Lismore on Wednesday last, Lismore scoring a very late goal.
Meanwhile the Junior C team easily beat Butlerstown on Thursday last, in Passage and the U15 team, in division 3, had two easy results over Cois Bhride in Passage and against St Molleran's away.
Games coming in next few weeks include: Tuesday, August 5 - U13 Passage v Cois Bhride in Passage at 7pm; Thursday, August 8 - minor Passage v Clonea in Passage at 7.30pm; Monday, August 12 - U15 Passage v Brickey Rangers in Passage at 7pm; Wednesday, August 14 - minor St Patricks v Passage in Colligan at 7.30pm.
The winners in the Passage Hurling Draw for July were as follows. The Normal Draw: 1st - €200 George Henderson; 2nd - €150 Sharon Geraghty; 3rd - €100 Sean Whyte; 4th - €50 Helen Millea. The results of the Bonus Draw were composed of: 1st - €1,000 Sheila Fowler; 2nd - €500 Mark Doherty; 3rd - €250 Trevor Fowler. Our club summer camp takes place from Monday, August 19 to Wednesday 21.
