Tramore

Tramore Men's Shed

The newly established Tramore Men’s Shed is reaching out to the local community for support as we take our first steps in creating a welcoming and inclusive space for men of all ages in the Tramore area. We are currently looking for a portable building, container, or similar structure to serve as a meeting place at our site in Tankfield, Tramore. This space will be vital in helping us provide a safe, supportive, and social environment where members can gather, share skills, work on projects, or simply enjoy a cup of tea and a chat.

If you are a local business, organisation, or individual who might be in a position to donate or lend such a unit - or offer assistance in any other way - we would be incredibly grateful for your support. Please get in touch with Peter McNally on 087 216518 if you can help. We also warmly welcome new members.

If you're interested in joining Tramore Men’s Shed or would like to find out more about what we do, please get in touch with us at tramoremenshed@gmail.com. Together, we can build something special for the community.

Rocky Mills Honoured

Local music legend Rocky Mills was recently honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Acoustic Tune Factory in recognition of his remarkable contribution to music over many generations.

The informal celebration, attended by club members and members of the Mills family, was a warm and memorable occasion. A formal presentation and official club launch is planned for later this year, where Rocky will be recognised once again — this time as the club’s first president and inaugural recipient of the annual award.

Special thanks were extended to John Palmer, Colin Shanahan, and all the club officers and members for their support on the night. The tribute moved Rocky, and photos from the evening show just how much the honour meant to him.
