Field Day

Well, that’s the last Bank Holiday of the Summer done and dusted. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and now it’s time to send out the remaining positive vibes for what remains of our summer. Whatever else is in store, Tourin Hall Committee aim to end the month of August fantastically and are remaining positive for a fabulous sunny day for our Field Day so as you read this why not take out your diaries, phones, ipads, tablets and make sure the brain remembers Sunday, August 24.

Tourin Field Day is an event not to be missed; our gates open at 2pm and a great family day is on offer.

There will something for everyone, whether it is taking part is some fun novelty events, watching the boys battle it out this year in the underage hurling Blitz, sitting relaxing in the sun (because the sun is going to shine!), having a cuppa or tripping the light fantastic to music from Mad Mike. We have it all.

Remember It’s the last hurrah of the summer, a day of fun before school re-opens so round up the troops and make it a Sunday to remember.

All you have to do is tap in P51 WY04 into the sat nav or google maps or whatever app you may be using and head on over to the Tourin Community Hall and Field.

Community events in Tourin are always very well supported.

While the Committee are preparing the chicks, charging up the buzzer, polishing up the tractor, cleaning, preparing, gathering and spreading the news, all you have to do is sit back and wait for the days to go by and the clock to tick around to August the 24th and a great day our in Tourin.

This is an occasion for old friends to meet up, you might even make a few new ones. Spread the word, bring a friend or two or more and take the day to chill out and chat with an opportunity to relax and enjoy some time together.

Congratulations

Congratulations and a bualadh bos to committee member Mags (Kylo) Ormonde on smashing a bit of Continuous Professional Development with a Masters now added to her repertoire. She managed to obtain this while working full-time, continuing with home life as normal (well 'ish'), and being a great committee member to boot! Well done, Mags,  I’m sure there will be plenty of celebrations at graduation time.
