Mass in Killea Church will take place on Wednesday, May 8 (7.30pm), Friday, May 10 (9.30 am) and Sunday, May 12 (9.30am). Mass in Carbally Church is every Sunday at 11am.
Great to see the new road surface on the run into Lower Dunmore is almost completed. Also, in the near future there will be works on the entrance to Lighthouse Way and the junction with the Fairways/Golf Club, where a raised pedestrian crossing will be constructed and the junction will be reconfigured.
The running costs of Dr Campbell’s emergency vehicle will continue to be sponsored by the Local Centra Store in Dunmore East. Thanks to the Power family from all in the community.
There will be 33 per cent more cruise liners visiting Dunmore this summer than last year. In total there are 28 scheduled to call this year with berthing to take place in Belview and Dunmore. First up will be the 'Celebrity Silhouette', on Thursday, May 16, with 2,800 passengers and the 'Jewel of the Sea' on Tuesday, May 28, with 2,500 passengers.
Carbally Community Centre will be the venue soon for drama classes for those over 18 years of age. The classes will take place on Mondays from 8pm to 10pm. For more information contact 085 1344403.
Cookery classes, with limited spaces, will begin in Carbally Community Centre on Tuesday, May 14. The classes will last for five weeks and will take place between 10am and 12noon. Cookery ingredients will be included free.
On Day one of the County Championships held recently in the RSC, Siofra Moloney Kilmacomb, had three wins in the U13 80 metres, 600 metres and high jump. Siri O'Flynn, Dunmore East, also in the U13s, was second in the 80 metres and a very close second in the 600 metres. Both compete with Ferrybank AC. A reminder of the Waterford Primary School Sports at the RSC on Tuesday, May 14, at 10 am where boys and girls from Réalt na Mara School will compete. Events for boys and girls from 1st to 6th class, each have a sprint, middle distance and relay.
