A 'Parenting When Separated Programme' will begin on September 17. The six-week programme will be aimed at giving parents support to solve co-parenting problems in a positive way, that focuses on the needs of their children. Create practical arrangements for children which minimises stress and conflict, improves communication with their children and the child's other parent. Cope with the emotional impact of the separation and learn stress management. The course will look at how you can help your children cope emotionally with the separation and help people deal with the challenges of being a lone parent or a live away parent. U12 Camogie

A fabulous evening of camogie took place recently as our U12's took on Abbeyside. A fantastic match to watch, well done to both teams. Congratulations to our girls on a great win. Happy faces after a trip to Applegreen for ice-creams afterwards.

Congratulations to our club girls and the U14 Waterford county teams on winning All-Ireland medals recently. An amazing achievement for Chloe, Aoibheann, Layla, Sarah, and Sarah, who are bringing home five All-Ireland medals.

Portlaw GAA

Our Junior hurlers bowed out of the championship recently after defeat to a strong Mount Sion side in Walsh Park. We are extremely proud of the effort the lads gave in the game and throughout the championship, with four wins from six games played and 27 players used. Well done to all players and mentors. The panel was composed of: Denis Fitzpatrick, Gavin Nolan, Frank Galvin, Archie Walsh, Eoin Walsh, Michael Donnelly, Shane Norris, Kyle Walsh Gahan, Richie Fitzpatrick, Harry Murphy, David Kearns, Trevor Kiely, Jack Walsh, Luke Power, Craig Coad, Gerard Nolan, Barry Walsh, Ben Burns, Christy Meares, Logan O’Sullivan, Jack O’Keeffe, Peter Woods, Jerome Fahy, Alan Ronayne, Jake Scanlon, Tim Kiely and Craig Fraher.

The management team was composed of: Derek Delaney, Freddie Kelly, John Walsh, Andrew Kirwan and Jamie Murphy. All at Portlaw GAA wish Peter, Eoin, Dan and all the backroom team the very best of luck in 2025. Peter served as our Senior Football Manager last year and is currently our Intermediate Hurling Coach. Our players have been lucky to work with someone of Peter's quality and we have no doubt that he will be a huge success in the role of Waterford Senior Hurling Manager.
