Deepest sympathy to the Keating Family on the death of a much-loved husband, father and grandfather, Thomas (Tommy) Keating, Ceannt Road, Cork Road, who died on Tuesday, October 28.
Formerly of Sexton Street and late of Keating Fabrication Ltd., Waterford His remains lay in repose at Thompson's Funeral Home on Sunday, November 2, with vigil prayers and rosary.
Requiem mass took place in St John's Church, Parnell Street, on Monday, November 3, followed by burial in St Declan's Cemetery, Riverstown, Tramore.
Predeceased by his son Mark, mother Anne and father Micheal, brother John, and sisters Brenda and Anne He is survived by his wife Mary, His sons Tommy, Fran and Micheal, his daughters Catherine and Marey, daughter-in-law Clara and son-in-law Stephen, 13 grandchildren 2 great grandchildren brothers Paddy and Jimmy, sisters Mai, Angela and Josie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relative’s neighbours and friends especially the Cogrel Family in France and the Keating Family in Australia. May he rest in peace.

It is with deep and sincere regret that we record the death of Mr. Sean Rowe Ashe Road, Kingsmeadow, who died on Wednesday, October 29.
Formerly of Ozanam Street and late of Waterford City and County Council.
His remains lay in repose at Thompson's Funeral Home on Friday, October 31, with vigil prayers and rosary.
Sean's Funeral cortege walked from Thompson's Funeral Home on Saturday, November 1, to the Holy Family Church for a requiem mass celebrated by Fr Langford, PP. followed by burial in Kilbarry cemetery.
Seanie was a lovely gentleman, always in good form. He loved a pint and all the craic that went on with his friends in the Yellow House. He loved his family and he will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Predeceased by his wife Rita, his great-grandson Rian, his parents William and Mary, his sister and brothers.
He is survived by his daughters Geraldine, Susan and Lorraine, son Anthony, son-in-law Greg and Kieran's daughter-in-law Trish, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, brothers Thomas, Nicky, and Tony, sister Helen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, neighbours and friends to whom we offer our deepest sympathy. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Little Saints have finished for the Winter and will resume again in the New Year.
They all had a great time on Saturday, last where we finished the season with a Halloween party. Our Minors had hard luck on Sunday morning when they lost their semi-final to St Mary's in Dunhill on a very cold and windy morning.
Our seniors won their regulation battle against De La Salle.
We are always looking for new players, especially for our Minor team football and hurling.

Southend FC Southend FC runs their Academy Friday Nights Lights for the little ones on Friday nights from 6pm to 6:45pm. All are welcome cost €2 from 4 to 8 years.

Parish News Shop open each weekday 9am to 12pm. Mass can be booked at these times, also open for candles, certs and mass cards. Baptism takes place every Sunday at 12pm One week’s notice is required.

The Holy Souls Novena will take place in St. Paul’s Church beginning on Sunday, November 2 and will continue for nine days until Monday, November 10.

Civic Dollars launched to reward health and wellbeing as part of the Healthy Waterford Programme, Waterford City and County Council and Waterford Area Partnership have officially launched Civic Dollars as part of its Healthy Waterford programme.
This new inititive is designed to encourage residents to enjoy the city and county park’s and open spaces while improving health, wellbeing and community connection.
The Civic Dollars app rewards people for spending time outdoors in designated “earn Zones” across Waterford.
For every 30 minutes spent in these areas, users can earn Civic Dollars, which can be exchanged for rewards from participating local businesses or donated to community organisations and charities.
Mayor of Waterford City and County, Cllr. Seamus Ryan said: “It is about building a stronger, healthier Waterford for everyone.

Congratulations to our very own TY student, Lily McCarthy, who has been awarded the Lions Club Youth Ambassador Award. Lily worked with Comhairla na nOg advocating for the implementation of a Jigsaw service in Waterford.

My Creative Community program is back, but with a difference!
This group is aimed at young people aged 13 to 15 living in Larchville, Lisduggan, Gracedieu, Carrickpherish and surrounding areas.
We have changed things around a little, added fashion design, jewellery making, and podcast production, and we are going to look at the skills needed in forming a social enterprise, who knows, we could have a few young entrepreneurs in the community.

What a fabulous programme – much too good to miss!!
The death has occurred of Gerard Morris, O’Reilly Road, Waterford City, Waterford/Wexford Town, Wexford, formerly Hill Street, Wexford Town, Co. Wexford.
Gerard died peacefully in University Hospital, Waterford, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 27, 2025. May he rest in peace.
Gerard will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife Bernie, his children Stephen and Aoife, their partners Michaela and Paul, his adoring grandchildren Chloe, Fionn, and Ide, his brother Fintan and his wife Jean.
Gerard will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, wonderful neighbours, and his many friends in Waterford and Wexford.
The Morris family would like to thank with great appreciation all the staff of the Oak Ward in University Hospital, Waterford, for the care, compassion and professionalism shown to Gerard throughout his time there.
May Gerard’s gentle soul rest peacefully. A celebration of Gerard’s life will take place in Falconers Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore X91TW21 on Wednesday, October 29, at 2pm to 2.30pm, after which the funeral home will remain open until 4.30pm for family and friends to pay their respects to Gerard’s family.

As per Gerard’s wishes, his cremation service will take place in The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Cork, at a later date. House Private, Please.
