On this Thursday, October 10, at the The Haven Hotel, Cormac Louth presents an illustrated lecture on 200 years of the RNLI in Ireland. This should be a very interesting lecture, especially for those currently volunteering with Dunmore East RNLI and indeed anyone remotely interested locally. Cormac will be showing a great many rare and interesting images that will include photographs, charts, and paintings and he will be touching on the great number of shipwrecks around our South East coast along with the number of rescues carried out by the RNLI.
'The Life and Songs of Amy Winehouse' will be the focus of attention in Carbally Community Centre on Saturday, October 19. The event will feature singers Ellen Quilty and Derek Flynn, who will chart Amy's rise to fame and perform some of her greatest songs.
