Mass times in Killea Church this week are comprised of: Wednesday, June19, at 7.30pm; Friday, June 21, at 9.30am and Sunday, June 23, at 9.30am. Mass is also celebrated every Sunday in Carbally Church at 11am.
The Annual Mass in Killea Cemetery, celebrated by Rev Fr PJ Breen PP, drew a large crowd to Killea Cemetery recently to pay their respects to their beloved dead on a cool evening.
After Mass Fr Breen blessed all the graves in the cemeteries.
Congratulations to local Councillor Pat Fitzgerald (Sinn Féin), who was again re-elected to the local authority on the sixth Count. Also congratulations to his party colleague, Cllr Jim Griffin, who was elected in the Tramore-Waterford West area on the last count.
The next cruise liner due in Dunmore East will be the 'Nieuw Statendam', which is due to arrive on Monday, June 24, at 8am. It will have 2,666 passengers on board and it will remain in place until 7pm that evening.

The Annual Art Craft in Fisherman's Hall, Dunmore East, will take place from Monday, July 1 to July 5, and Monday, July 29 to August 2.

Dunmore East Woods and Park Trust will be holding a Family Fun Day on Sunday, June 23, from 2pm to 6pm.
The day promises to be great craic and there will be music and games. A tug o' war event will take place at 5.30pm.
An early reminder of the Annual Dunmore East Bluegrass Festival coming up from August 23 to 25.
There will be some fantastic bands performing at this not-to-be-missed event for all discerning music lovers.
It was a great week recently in Rome, at the European Championships, where Thomas Barr was on the Irish Mixed Relay team that won the gold medals. He also put in a very brave effort in the 400m hurdles, winning his heat in 49.31 seconds.
Thomas narrowly lost out in the semi-final, finishing third in 49.61 just hundreds of a second out. He will be back in action this evening, Tuesday, in Turku, Finland in a 400m hurdles race and will race again in Poland on Thursday, again in a 400m hurdles.
On Saturday and Sunday week last, the Munster U12 and U13 Championships were held in Castleisland and two athletes from the Dunmore area got among the medals. Siofra Maloney Kilmacomb had seconds theU13 long jump, high jump and 600m with Siri O'Flynn, from Dunmore East, coming home third in the U13 600m. Both athletes compete with Ferrybank AC.
