Burglary investigations underway in Waterford

The Gardaí in Waterford are investigating two burglaries that occurred in the city over the last number of days.
The first incident happened on Monday, November 17, in St Otteran's Terrace, in Tramore between the hours of 2pm and 5.55pm - when the home owner discovered the house had been ransacked.
"If you were in the area and saw anything suspicious, please contact Unit C at Tramore Garda Station," said a spokesperson for the Gardaí.
The second Burglary occurred in Kilmacthomas between Monday, November 17, at 6am, and 6pm the following day, Tuesday, November 18, when the crime was discovered.
In that incident a shed was broken into and a number of tools were stolen including a Husqvarna saw, a number of Dewalt items, a Stihl chainsaw and Oleo strimmers.
"If you are offered any of these items for sale or can assist the investigation, please contact the Crime Unit at Tramore Garda Station," said the Garda spokesperson.
The Gardaí also offered their condolences to families affected by fatal accidents that occurred in Waterford within the last week, with the spokesperson commenting: "We have had two Fatal Road Traffic Incidents in Waterford over the last week, with the loss of two lives; one cyclist on the Cork Road and a pedestrian at Sallybank, Ferrybank."
"We would like to offer our condolences to the families and thank all those who came forward following the appeals for witnesses," she said.
Meanwhile, if anyone observes a crime being committed they are reminded to phone 112/999.
