AROUND 3,800 ESB customers in Waterford are currently without an electricity supply due to faults.

Two major faults occurred at power station at Kilcarragh at 9.30 this morning, which covers rural areas of Dunmore East, Passage, Cheekpoint and back into the direction of the city. Schools at Ballygunner have also been affected by the outage. However, the majority of Dunmore East still has electricity.

In addition over 160 customers are without power in Tramore. Crews are working to identify the fault, but it is not known when supply will be restored.
