Pictured at the presentation for the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial Stakes at Kilcohan Park Greyhound Stadium recently, which was won by Doggy MacDogFace were: members of the Dogfather Syndicate, Jimmy Maguire (Chairman Kilcohan Park Greyhound Stadium), Declan Byrne (Ttrainer) and Kathleen Lennon (Racing Manager, KPGS).

Doggy MacDogFace, owned by The Dogfather Syndicate from Kilkenny, will progress to the opening round of the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial after finishing first in the trial stakes at Waterford Greyhound Stadium on Saturday 18th February.
The opening rounds start at Limerick Greyhound Stadium on Saturday 24 March 2018.
Sponsored by Noreen and JP McManus in honour of her parents, Con & Annie Kirby. The competition has the biggest prize fund in Ireland after the Irish Greyhound Derby, with a total fund of €160,000 and top prize of €80,000. Doggy MacDogFace crossed the line in 28.46 after the 4-5 market leader flew the lids to storm three lengths clear into the opening corner. Flying down the back, the lead was soon eight, Da Head Hunter was keeping on well late on, but the winner had five and a half lengths to spare, in 28.46. Bred by Lemon Kennels, Three Castles , Kilkenny.
The competition will continue over four weeks with the Final being held on Saturday 21 April 2018.

Snow Stops Racing
Due to the heavy snow Kilcohan Park saw no action last Saturday and the ten race card will be run off this coming Saturday night March 10th.
