FOLLOWING on from the Waterford News & Star’s report a fortnight ago, UK home, leisure and gardens retailer, The Range have confirmed that they will be opening their new superstore in Waterford on Good Friday, March 30 at 9am.
Over 80 full and part-time jobs, from store to department managers and warehouse assistants to retail administrators, will be created when the new store opens, providing a fantastic boost to the local economy and brand new addition to the Musgraves Retail Park on the Outer Ring Road.
The Range currently has over 150 stores across the UK including four stores in the Republic of Ireland, in Cork, Limerick, Carlow and Dublin. They stock furniture and textiles, camping and bulky leisure goods, household goods and appliances, furniture, DIY and lighting, office supplies, pet products and garden goods.

Chris Dawson of The Range said they were looking forward to the opening of the Waterford store.
“This store has been on my radar for a long time so we are delighted to finally be able to confirm the opening date for Good Friday,” Chris said. “The job provision that comes with the new store should provide a great boost to the retail park and town of Waterford. This opening, along with Maynooth which will open in the spring, is a great step in the company’s Irish expansion plans. We look forward to welcoming our new customers to the opening in March”
