The lucky last produced the fastest winner on view as Whitefort Nev 5/2 made every stride a winning one in a speedy 28.87. Making full use of his early pace ‘Whitefort’ motored into an early lead over Longslip Bobby before holding the late charge of Minglers Venom by half a length.
Race 1, A7 525: After a moderate start the Trevor Power owned and Jimmy Power trained Classic Valerie 2/1 came from well off the pace to triumph in 29.08. With the pack getting in each others way early on ‘Classic’ cruised into a back stretch before shooting clear for a facile fourteen and a half lengths success over Tomahurra Skye.
Race 2, A4 525: Utilising his early pace to perfection the Tomas Moore owned Minglers Vulcan 2/1 never saw another rival sluicing up in 29.09. Leading early on from Coco Jet and Walking Caesar ‘Minglers’ maintained a steady gallop in the lead eventually hitting the winning line five and a half lengths clear of ‘Coco’.
Race 3, A3 525: Kacys Nemo 6/4 struck late returning to winning ways in 29.26. Ballydaniel Mags cut an early dash from trap one but at the business end of matters the always prominent ‘Kacys’ battled on gamely for a head success over Tomahurra Flash.
Race 4, A4 525: Showing plenty of early speed Mad Mike held the early call but gave way off the second turn to the James Moore owned Minglers Priory. Despite being placed under pressure over the closing two bends ‘Minglers’ 6/4 dug deep to deny a running on Brykar Anyhassle by three quarters of a length in 29.17.
Race 5, A3 525: Less than two lengths separated the first five home here. The early paced Tagalong Sammy made a brave bid to lead all the way from Corock Messi. Coming with a sustained challenge however Tomahurra Chase 3/1 finished best of all too basically outstay ‘Tagalong’ by half a length in 29.17.
Race 6, A2/A3 525: This four-bender went all the way to the wire. The early paced Annacurra Sam 2/1 gave way on the back stretch to Nans John. When ‘Nans’ and a challenging Laganore Danny collided over the final two bends ‘Annacurra’ came back for more eventually accounting for Ballydaniel Kats by a short head in 29.14.
Race 7, A1/A2 525: The Liam Walsh owned and Peter Cronin trained Cinderella 5/2 stopped the clock in 28.91 when capturing this contest. Minglers Razor looked the likely winner having taking over in the lead off the second turn but Cinderella produced the superior finish coming through to get the better of ‘Minglers’ by three lengths.
Race 8, A2 525: Prettylittleliar 3/1 recorded back to back victories in 29.16. Sandeal Racer dictated matters up front but in a tight finish Prettylittleliar 3/1 finished full of running on the wide outside accounting for a running on Huarache Bale by a length.
Race 9, A1 525: See introduction.
