WATERFORD Gardaí have confirmed to the Waterford News & Star that a man, from Carrick-on-Suir, was arrested early this morning after an alleged attack on the two paramedics that were treating him and transporting him to University Hospital Waterford. According to Gardaí, the alarm was raised at approximately 9:50pm last night with information about a patient that had allegedly become violent on the way to hospital and began attacking the paramedics on duty.

The man was brought to UHW for treatment before being arrested by Gardaí.
