Yesterday (21/02/2017) as part of an intelligence led operation, Revenue Officers stopped and searched a van in Waterford city and found 20,000 contraband cigarettes. The cigarettes were branded ‘Mayfair’ and have a retail value of over  €11,000, representing a potential loss to the exchequer of over €9,700.
