On Sunday February 12th 2017 the Irish Life Health National Masters and Juvenile B Cross Country Championships will be held at the WIT Arena in Carriganore. This fixture will bring hundreds of athletes from all over Ireland to Waterford, further news nearer the date.

Indoor season begins this weekend.
On Saturday and Sunday next the indoor season begins with the Munster Junior and under 23 Championships and Juvenile and Youth Pentathlon Championships in Nenagh. Waterford will be well represented in each category and the meeting begins at 11 am both days and full programme is on Munster Athletics website. On Saturday the Annual Edinburgh International Cross Country fixture will see Irish athletes among the competitors in junior and senior men and women races.

January 2017 fixtures
Saturday 14th Greenmount Cross Country in Antrim.
Sunday 15th Munster Senior and Masters Indoors Nenagh also Colligan Cup Run in Colligan Wood outside Dungarvan at 12 noon, it’s race three in the Michael Roche Carpets Series, preceded by Juvenile Colligan Shield at 11am.
Thursday 19th Waterford Schools Cross Country St Augustine’s College Grounds.
Saturday 21st Celtic Cross Country Wales also National Indoor Combined Events (to be confirmed).
Sunday 22nd Munster Juvenile Indoor Relays and Pole Vaults Nenagh also National Intermediate Cross Country and Juvenile Inter Club Relays Cross Country Tuam also Annual Frank Leahy Memorial 5 miles Road Race Waterford City 1 pm preceded by three miles walk at 12.30pm. entries on total timing.
Sunday 29th National Junior and U 23 Indoor Championships Athlone.

Waterford AC AGM
The senior AGM of Waterford AC will take place on Wednesday January 11th at 7pm in the Viking Remada Hotel. To submit any motions or items to the agenda or if anyone would like to come on to the committee or make any points please do so by reply to email [email protected] Waterford AC Juvenile training will be back on Tuesday the 10th of January in the RSC for all and Thursday the 12th of January in WIT Carriganore. All looking forward to an even better season in 2017 at all levels.
