Kilcohan Park – Saturday November 26th

Kilcohan Park just about beat the freezing fog but one runner who made light of the conditions was the Sidarian Syndicate owned and Willie Finn trained Sidarian Pixie this 1/2 hot pot sluicing up in a best of night 28.73. Led early on by Metric Kojak ‘Sidarian’ found her path blocked by ‘Metric’ between the opening two bends. That mattered little however as ‘Sidarian’ cruised into a third bend lead on the fence before drawing clear for an easy seven lengths defeat of Glenbrien Nifty.
Race 1, A3 525: The Ned Walsh owned Kellsboro Zara 2/1 recorded back to back victories in trap to line fashion clocking 29.11 in the process. Leading early on from Cill Dubh Shane ‘Kellsboro’ went on to account for a running on Jumbos Shihtzu by a length.
Race 2, A2 550: Daring Rush made a gallant attempt to lead all the way but the eventual winner Curly Finger 5/4 was always well placed to launch his challenge. ‘Curly’ finished full of running to basically outstay ‘Daring’ by four lengths in 30.05.
Race 3, A3 550: Babbie Helen broke well but it was Lazy But Lively 3/1 who accelerated into a first bend lead. Keeping on well at the head of affairs the winner was far from lazy coming home three and a half lengths clear of a running on Archaton Fly in 30.36.
Race 4, A5 525: A quick starting Noreview Jet 5/4 made every stride a winning one in 29.45. Happy Diva closed on the leader up the home stretch but appeared to run into the back of ‘Noreview’ who held on by a neck from a fast finishing Carrigoe Yaya.
Race 5, S2/S3 325: With a number of runners in the wars between the opening two bends the Mary Flynn owned and Nick Turner trained Coco Prince 3/1 cruised into the lead before dashing clear for an eight and a half lengths defeat of Big Ben in 18.14.
Race 6, A4 525: Tagalong Roisin 4/1 showed in front from the break but gave way on the back stretch to Minglers Pele. Renewing her challenge however ‘Tagalong’ came back for more in the dying stride to defeat ‘Minglers’ by a neck in 29.30.
Race 7, A4/A5 525: Youcancatchme came away in front but Declan Power’s Sanfrancisco Sky struck the front between the opening two bends. A slow starting Othello threatened briefly off the home turn but ‘Sanfrancisco’ 3/1 was not for catching winning out by one and a half lengths in 29.20.
Race 8, A2 525: See introduction.
Race 9, A1 525: Annacurra Jet held the call for a long period from the Gerry Kiely owned Airmount Zeus 3/1. ‘Airmount’ mounted a strong challenge up the home stretch however and finishing with a flourish ‘Airmount’ stayed on stoutly for a two and a half lengths defeat of dead heaters Annacurra Jet and Dipton Chase. Time 28.95.
