Fainna Fail councillor Mary Butler who was elected to represent the Comeragh electoral in the 2014 local elections is set to take a Dail seat for the Waterford constituency.
She will take back he seat held by former Deputy Brendan Kenneally up to the last election.
Bookies favourite to top the poll,John Deasy is likely to be in a fight for the final seat with party colleague Paudie Coffey. With 89% of boxes tallied he was in fifth position with 14.2% of the vote compared with 14.4% for Coffey. John Halligan is holding third position with 15.7%.
Sinn Fein’s David Cullinane who is contesting his fourth general election will be moving from the Seanad to the Dail as he currently stands on 18.7%.
