An investigation is underway after a member of the public died at GlaxoSmithKleine in Dungarvan this afternoon (Thursday).

In a statement the pharmaceutical and healthcare company said, “An incident took place on the grounds of the GSK site in Clogherane, Dungarvan at approximately 3pm this afternoon involving a member of the public. The person was transferred to Waterford Regional Hospital by ambulance and was subsequently pronounced dead.  An Gárda Síochána attended the scene and the Health and the Safety Authority (HSA) has been notified. The incident is currently under investigation.
GSK wishes to extend deepest sympathies to the family of the deceased.”
