Honesty best policy

I AM writing to say that I really enjoyed your article ‘Honesty is the best policy’ (Phoenix, January 19). It touched many areas and subjects that I agree with. Like the idea of small-scale enterprises with people working together.

On the subject of university status – is there a problem with the campaign on this? I live in Dublin – I am previously from south Kilkenny just outside Waterford. I don’t think I have heard or seen anything on a national scale to promote Waterford as a university.

However, I have seen many articles against it – by existing universities.

I think it might be time for the campaign to get away from talking to each other in Waterford and to get serious.
