Xtra-vision employee attacked and robbed

Xtra-vision, Summerhill, Tramore CCTV footage is being examined by Gardaí in Tramore following an assault and robbery in the town yesterday morning (Monday).

A female employee of Xtra-vision at Summerhill was knocked to the ground and cash which she planned to lodge in the bank was stolen.

Supt Jerry Lynch of Tramore Garda Station said that the attack occurred at 10.45am.

The woman was shocked by the incident but she was not injured and did not require medical attention.

Supt. Lynch said that CCTV footage in the immediate vicinity of the Xtra-vision store was being examined and he was hopeful of an early arrest.

It is understood that several thousand Euro was stolen in the early morning assault and robbery.
