Beat popular with young audience
By Mary Ellen Breen

BEAT 102-103 has been named as the top station for listeners between the age of 15 and 35.

The latest radio results show that the station continues to hold its own in the popularity stakes with the under 35s, ahead of all local and national alternatives in the South East.

Over 133,000 listeners tune into the station, which is broadcast to Waterford, Wexford, Carlow, Kilkenny and South Tipperary.

Beat 102-103 CEO Gabrielle Cummins is delighted with the latest statistics, which she says reflect the hard work that is consistently put in by all the team at Beat.

“We have made a conscious decision on air and on the ground that Beat is all about fun and enjoyment. The regional radio station provides its listeners with an opportunity to escape from the doom and gloom. It’s clearly working as Beat is growing its audience all the time which is fantastic. A big thank you to all of our listeners across the five counties,” she said.
