Film festival

WATERFORD Film Festival has announced its opening film will be 8.5 Hours.

It is a controversial contemporary drama about one extraordinary Monday in the lives of four characters who work in a small software company in Dublin.

The debut feature from Dublin filmmaker Brian Lally, the film also aims to chronicle the final moments of the Celtic Tiger years, a time of great achievement for many but for some, a time of disappointment and lost opportunities.

The film festival runs from Wednesday, November 5 until Sunday, November 9 and the full programme is available to see on www.waterfordfilmfestival.com
