Seamus Power was playing in the Sanderson Farms Championship at the Country Club of Jackson in Mississippi over the weekend and he finished with a first top 20 finish of the new season.
In his opening round on Thursday he carded a 68, four under par. He was within two shots of the leader in round two on Friday before play was suspended due to the weather which meant that he had to complete his second round on Saturday morning. With only two holes to play he finished round two on a score of 68. Now on eight under par going into the third round in which he carded a score of 71, 1 under par. He was now tied for third on nine under par entering the final round on Sunday. In his final round Seamus carded a three over round 75. This saw him finish on six under par and tied in 18th place. A good week for the West Waterford USPGA Tour player.
Seamus is back in action this week when he tees it up at the Shriners Hospitals For Children Open in Las Vegas.
