The Tomas Moore owned Minglers Best 5/2 was the fastest winner on view this early paced sort capturing the lucky last in a speedy 28.63. Pushed all the way by Dipton Chase ‘Minglers’ did well in the end to deservedly triumph by half a length.
The Moore family also enjoyed an earlier success courtesy of the James Moore owned Minglers Pele this 5/2 chance capturing the second event in 29.01. Powering into an early lead ‘Minglers’ did well to see off the persistent challenge of Bottle Of Banter by three quarters of a length.
Race 1, A1 550: Curly Finger’s racing career continues on an upward curve as he led throughout to triumph in a smart 29.76. ‘Curly’ 5/4 eased himself into an early lead over Tycoon Prince. This order of running never altered thereafter with a strong running ‘Curly’ coming home six and a half lengths clear of ‘Tycoon’.

Race 3, A3 525: Maglass Diva, Blackhill Jet and Forge Pete all had an opportunity to land this four-bender but it was the John Organ owned Jennapatholly 5/2 who finished best of all on the wide outside to basically outstay ‘Blackhill’ by a length in 29.55.
Race 4, D0 730: In a one off open marathon contest kindly sponsored by Gerry Kiely’s Airmount Kennels Boylesports Duke was despatched as the 4/6 favourite but it was the Portmor Syndicate owned and Gerry Kiely trained Novel Approach 6/4 who led everywhere in a fast 40.63. Leading early on from Chancem ‘Novel’ never took his foot off the accelerator en route to a four and a half lengths defeat of Chancem.
Race 5, A5 525: In the first semi-final of the Somers Construction A5 event Ballydaniel Guci 3/1 proved to sprightly for the opposition leading all the way in 29.11. Hawks Bay chased the winner throughout but ‘Ballydaniel’ was not for catching prevailing by three lengths.
Race 6, A5 525: The second qualifier saw the Peter Cronin trained Boarding Gate the 4/5 market leader take off from trap four registering a facile 28.82 success. Packing to much early pace for his rivals ‘Boarding’ was never in the slightest danger of defeat cruising to a five lengths win over Kingsmill Kerber who raced in second place throughout.
Race 7, A3 525: Extra Special and Metric Lilly dominated up front from an early stage and they were tracked off the home turn by Kikis Beauty. In a three way finish the Cats Got The Cream Syndicate owned and Liam Corcoran trained ‘Extra’ 3/1 dug deep to emerge victorious by a length from ‘Metric’ with ‘Kikis’ just behind in third. Time 29.18.
Race 8, A2 525: Rathbally Tank defeated some better fancied opponents capturing this contest at odds of 4/1 in 29.04. At the head of affairs from the outset leading from Glenbrien Nifty the red sheeted ‘Rathbally’ did well to hold the late charge of Genuine Bling by a head.
