AN 18 year old man charged in relation to a serious assault on John Street in the city has been released on bail.

Gavin Walsh of Garryduff, Gowran, Co Kilkenny has been charged with assault causing harm on Wednesday, September 7.

At a special sitting of Waterford District Court this evening Solicitor John O’Donohue made an application for bail.

Judge Brian Sheridan remanded Walsh on bail on a number of agreed conditions, which included to stay out of Waterford city. He must appear before the District Court again on October 18.

Meanwhile, a second male (19) was released without charge yesterday with a file sent to the DPP.
