After his exploits at the Olympic Games in Rio a few weeks back Thomas Barr is back on the track this Thursday in Zurich in Switzerland at the Diamond League meeting, a meeting that sees 14 of those that won Olympic titles in Rio competing and the race in which Thomas competes the 400 metres hurdles is probably the most competitive of the fixture and it could  in fact be called another Olympic final. He faces the Olympic Champion Klement from the USA, Culson from Peurto Rico who was sadly disqualified in that final with the electronic start equipment  picking out his brake-it was not visible to the naked eye- from Kenya the reigning World Champion Bett is there also – he fell in Rio in his heat. Thomas has had a busy time meeting people and appearing at events while in between has been getting in some training. It will be another big race and again hundreds of a second may be the difference in securing a podium place.the race is timed for 8.28 pm Irish time. It is Thomas’ final race of the season.
